Why My Hair Looks So Healthy

It's the most common question I have gotten over the course of my life. Even as a kid, I used to thank God for my hair, which tells you that some of it is genetic! My parents were health freaks before it was a popular thing. We didn't ever use seed oils or highly processed foods. So, part of our genetics is truly epigenetics. We have a baseline of what we can work with but are predisposed to oxidation by lifestyle choices. Kids are not necessarily more resilient; they just don't always have the same toxic load.

I feel like the aftermath of COVID gave a sharper focus to hair health because it was just the viral load that people needed to change how their cells use energy. What I'm seeing is significant hair loss and damage to our mitochondria. And I bet you didn't know these two are related!

Why? Hair is non-essential, if you can believe that. I mean, look at men (of course, premature balding is a symptom of testosterone imbalance), but honestly, it's non-essential. So if our cells struggle with energy, what only gets what's left over? Non-essential things like hair cells and follicles!
