Ready for some truth bombs?
July is worse than the holidays! July gets people more off track than Christmas and Thanksgiving combined. After July, many clients beg us to help them get back on track. But truthfully, we designed our programs to help you stay on track even after a fun family party, a wedding, or a vacation. We want you to keep a few things in mind this Summer. Because it’s not about being “bad” or “good.” It’s not about giving up if we don’t feel our best in a bikini. It’s not about devoting our lives to our health; it’s just about being consistent – when we have control.

Recently, I took a poll on Instagram asking if you think vacation should be letting loose or staying on track. The answers rolled in almost 50/50, and honestly, I get it. I’m also not here to judge. From a bio-individualized standpoint, I am super sensitive to many things, and to stay in the present moment, sleep well, and feel good, I have to stay on track for the most part. I’m not someone who can sleep well after drinking the night away. I also have an internal clock that wakes me up at approximately 5:18 every day, vacation or not, so I must consider that schedule. But man, am I ever fun during the day 🙂 So, it’s not a matter of choice if I want to feel good and not be run down. Many of y’all can bounce back better than me, and the key is that we know ourselves! That’s the CCN way, after all, to intuitively understand our needs.
My concern about getting off track for a month or months goes beyond how you look. I want you to have the body of your dreams, but more importantly, I want you to protect your hormones, immune system, and more! Did you know that two consistent bad nights of sleep can negatively impact your hormone output? Hormones are messengers in our bodies, and they’re impacted by our epigenetics and lifestyle choices. Once our hormone system gets off track or isn’t supported, it could impact our immune system. I’ve been down this hole before and never thought I’d climb out, so I’m hopeful never to go back there.
Honestly, it wasn’t even making poor food or lifestyle choices; it was not recognizing overwhelm and burnout, the third level of stress that can entirely break down the system. I’m thankful for my suffering, though, because it helped me better support you all.
That’s why we are introducing our new members-only program, '90 Days to Healthy Hormones', in July, one of the most important months of the year. This program is designed to help you understand and support your hormone health, ensuring you feel your best all year round.
Our Simply Summertime Challenge is not a one-size-fits-all approach. It will not only support you in creating a body that you feel good about, but it will also provide you with amazing and satisfying meals for the entire Summer! Meals that don’t feel like you’re missing out also help to support good sleep, energy, and good moods. Whether you're a foodie, a health enthusiast, or someone looking to make positive changes, our challenge has something for everyone. Ultimately, we want Summer to be about the memories that stick in our brains much better when we feel well! The present moment is about getting our bodies into a relaxed and well-enough state that we feel the moment we’re in. We’re not looking back. We’re not looking forward… we just are, and that’s the best feeling!
Whether you’re looking for a soft or hard reset, need to get back on track, or just need recipes to inspire your Healthy Summer fun, we have what you need! We look forward to making this your best year yet, and as always, it starts with food!! Who’s in?
