Nourishing Your Body & Embracing Every Stage of Life
I love checking in with you all here each week. I shoot for a combination of connection and education. I always pray that God will guide me on what to share. I need guidance because this stage of life always has my mind spinning a little too fast. The other day, my 13-year-old said: “Mom, you’re so lucky that you get to stay home and do what you love.” It was the moment of clarity I needed for the week. I’m living the life I’ve always dreamed of, from motherhood to lifestyle to meaningful work.
I’m also elated and on cloud nine to see how my book launch is beginning to take shape. I’m not a great planner, but I’ve surrounded myself with great planners. Also, God is the best planner. He has prepared me for years to have this dream experience, and I am officially inviting you all to join us in historic downtown Franklin, TN, on Wednesday evening, May 14th. Downtown Franklin feels like you’ve fallen into a scene of a Hallmark movie. We secured the Franklin Theater that evening, so we don’t have to worry about selling out this event! I had a real-life experience at a book tour over six years ago, and immediately, God gave me visions of this being me, and now this is all happening. Details on how to purchase tickets will be shared soon!

This week, I made time to connect with some of the most intelligent people I know on various topics involving some of my clients.
We talked through biophoton therapy, drainage prep for functional medicine, muscle activation, transfer factor immune support, hormone metabolic pathway changes in the body, and homogeneous and heterogeneous gene mutations. Are you geeking out yet? You know the most incredible thing of all was FOOD! It works on a chemical level, a physical level, an emotional level, a spiritual level, and more. Food is information to our body, brain, metabolic system, and more!
Food is always the starting point for all health journeys, and it’s not something that can be skipped. I have dove head first into integrative and functional health in the last few years, and if you don’t have food dialed in, you will not only waste your money, but you could potentially burden the body even more by adding therapeutics in, especially if they are supplemental and not activators.
Food is always where we need to start when we need a reset. Even though human nature is always, “What can I buy to get back on track?” Seldom do we actually need to add in, but we need to consider what we can remove to decrease the stress on our system. This takes next-level commitment and discipline. I can also assure you that it’s the most rewarding approach to health and will take your journey to the next level!
On Instagram earlier this week, I shared a couple of interesting facts on blood sugar and macros, and it’s alarming to me how many people are unaware of combining macros for the best potential outcome for the body. Glucose is a biological and chemical level reaction in the body. We can manage our glucose optimally by combining all three macronutrients each time we eat. Still, sometimes, even that’s not enough if we’re already in a state of insulin resistance. We have created ways to bring the body back to homeostasis, still with food, without food, and with the right macro combinations of the right food! If you’re one of those people whose glucose levels are not optimal, it’s time to look deeper at the root issue. Is it cortisol due to stress? Or is it insulin due to stress and lifestyle? Or do you need to return to the basics and eat the CCN way? It’s never too late to create the optimal body for the stage of life you’re in!
This is partly why we broke out our hormone classes into each different stage: cycling, perimenopause, and meno/post-menopause. Three different classes for three different stages of life! The optimal body is available to each of you in these different stages of life. One day at a time, the days lead to months and years, and before you know it, you’re doing things you’ve never dreamed of because the debilitation has resulted in limitations.
Over the last 12 months, I’ve had so many clients join workout classes they only went to in their dreams, and their bodies were new to them! Their bodies were strong and resilient, and they’re still getting used to these bodies that have been restored or are being restored. It’s not too late for them in menopause; it’s not too late for you!
