How to Handle Transitions

August tends to lend itself to transitions – not quite the start of Fall, not quite the end of Summer. As in most things in life, there never really is a hard start and stop to seasons. Things change over time and we begin to close out Summer at the same time we start welcoming in Fall.

Maybe you're already feeling consistent in your schedule, but if not, let's take this month to reestablish some routine:

  1. Start your morning right with 16 or more ounces of water. Bonus if you add some lemon.

  2. Get moving every day even if it's just a walk or gentle stretch.

  3. Make a meal plan that is easy to stick to. Don't overthink this! Even if it's just looking at your schedule for the coming week to determine what activities you have scheduled and how that impacts dinnertime.
