Follow Friday

We become what we consume… food, people, and even those we follow on social media. What we consistently expose ourselves to is what we become, which is why I have been mindful of unfollowing people if needed. On my work IG, I focus on following people I can learn from in the health world, people I can grow from in the spiritual world and people I connect to. I also love funny people, so I have a handful of comedians and such on my list. I'm due to Spring clean what I expose my mind to so writing this post has been a good reminder for even myself!

Back in the old blogging days, there used to be “Follow Friday” where you would highlight your favorite blogs. Today, I want to highlight some of my favorite Instagram accounts.

Dr. Connealy — What a light in the integrative oncology world! I think Dr. Connealy is an angel from heaven even though I've never directly worked with her, PRAISE GOD. She has never-ending research into understanding and treating the root cause of cancer. She has the most approachable kindness I've seen anywhere on the internet, and I pray that God continues to bless her heart to serve the kingdom in the way she has.

Emily Morrow — She and I have connected recently, and it's like we've always known each other. We share many of the same interests, having both been collegiate athletes. She is a skin expert from an integrative perspective. She is the one who created the MBCE course that I've found so helpful in understanding blood chemistry. She has also given me the expansive knowledge to help my clients with underlying root cause conditions. She is such a faithful steward to God, which, of course, inspires me!

Taylor Dukes—Also a faithful steward to God, Taylor walks the walk and then teaches all about it. This girl will blow your mind with her personal experience battling brain cancer. She is truly the most vulnerable and giving person I know. She has a heart of gold and, I believe, is an incredible pillar of hope for many and an amazing reference in all things health. I am thankful to learn from her and all her messages about the whole body, mind, and spirit.

Doc.talks.detox — is one of the most helpful accounts for talking through drainage. I love her because she gives easy, actionable guidance that is so helpful for my clients trying to utilize food for these same purposes. She is so generous with the content she gives away and seems to have such an easygoing personality. I'm always all ears with anything she offers and will be incorporating it into our Spring Wellness Renewal Challenge in a way that is easy to follow!

Really Very Crunchy —She finds a way to combine extreme crunchiness and humor, which never disappoints me. I always find a good chuckle and learn something new every time. I find her personality to be so light-hearted, and I love that her husband is in on it. Even though my husband will never be a part of my social media that way (he's not into it), a girl can dream. If you need some light-hearted health inspo, check out this other Emily Morrow. 😉

I know there are many more, but these really supplement what I offer on social media, and together, I think we can all change the culture of health, healing, and well-being!

Meet Cara Clark

I began my career as a way to heal my own body and give me the energy to seek the life I was called to live.

Now, as an integrative nutritionist and wellness educator, I help people nurture their bodies through a non-dieting approach to food and the beautiful connections between physical wellness, mental and emotional health, and spirituality that have taken my own life to the next level.
