Five years ago, everything in my life was shifting. We moved across the country… then moved three more times that same year. It felt like we were constantly packing and unpacking, trying to find our footing.

In the middle of all of that chaos, I thought I was still “taking care of myself.” I ate real food, I did what I could, but the truth is—I was just going through the motions. My workouts felt impossible to fit in. Strength training, especially, took too long. And little by little, I started to notice the changes.

My legs didn’t look the same. My lymphatic system was showing in ways I hadn’t seen before. My shape wasn’t as strong or muscular as it had once been. It was a wake-up call.

But here’s the thing: I didn’t want my solution to be restriction. I didn’t want to punish my body for what it had been through. I wanted to support it. To work with it, not against it.

So, I started making small but powerful shifts:

  • Focusing on drainage and my lymphatic system
  • Paying attention to protein and fiber—not just juggling macros
  • Committing to just 30 minutes of strength training

That’s when everything began to change.

And along the way, I discovered two little secrets that made a world of difference—secrets that cost nothing, yet unlocked results I hadn’t seen in years. At 41, I’m building muscle more effectively than I ever did in my late 30s. I feel strong again. Grounded again. More me again.
