Our Fresh Start Healthy Heart challenge participants have just finished up week 3 and are beginning week 4 - the mix and match week! This is where our participants take the knowledge they've learned over the past 3 weeks and begin to apply it for themselves. It's neat for all of us here at CCN to see it really start to "click." But don't think we've left them totally on their own for the final week. We provide several key resources to ensure their continued success. Continued support in our Facebook group for the remainder of the challenge, an "eating on the go" guide, and a foods exchange list are just some of the ways we continue support for week 4 and beyond.
Our challenge participants are successful because our changes are small and sustainable. The rules we teach are simple and no food is ever truly off limits. One of these rules is five colors a day. If you're eating the rainbow you're most likely getting a variety of vitamins and nutrients your body needs for optimal performance. Here's a smoothie that has 3 colors of your 5 daily colors needed and is a healthy way to start your day!
